  1. Samples are shipped only to commercial (business) addresses within the United States or Canada.

     

  2. If you have a residential address, consider these options:

    • OxyChem’s calcium chloride ice melt products are available in big-box and hardware stores under private labeled brands such as Prestone® Driveway Heat®, Qik Joe® Hot Stuff or Super-Melt™.

How will the product be used?

OxyChem calcium chloride products are not certified per NSF/ANSI 60, Drinking Water Treatment Chemicals; or NSF/ANSI 61, Drinking Water System Components.

 

OxyChem advises against using our calcium chloride in drinking water applications due to the impurity of bromide. Bromide can react with oxidizers used for water sterilization, resulting in the formation of bromate. Many countries have strict limits on bromate levels in drinking water, which may not be met if our calcium chloride is used and sterilized with oxidizing chemicals like ozone.
