Can calcium chloride be used to control dust in horse arenas?
|
OxyChem does not have the expertise to provide detailed technical guidance
for this highly specialized dust control application. It is recommended that
facilities and/or organizations with horse arena expertise be consulted for
guidance in this area.
|
Based on limited case history, OxyChem can recommend against use of calcium
chloride for dust control in horse arenas when the surface is composed of
materials that do not allow the calcium chloride to dilute and disperse. An
example of this type of surface is one composed of limestone chips and rubber
bits.
